The Mannuthy Don Bosco Bhavan Society was established on 19th June 1973. From then on the Society carried out various activities. In June 1995 the Society started Don Bosco L.P School with the state syllabus. The school began in the junior seminary building with 114 LKG students divided into two sections. From the following year onwards classes were added progressively from the LKG to Std IV. Currently the school has two divisions each from the LKG to Std IV.
Don Bosco Lower Primary School received the Recognition from the Government of Kerala on 20th February 2004. The National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions granted Don Bosco L P School, the status of a Minority Institution on 17th March 2008.Today the school has 712 students, 19 members on the Teaching Staff and 3 on the Non-Teaching Staff.
Apart from the academic programmes, the school regularly organizes various cultural, literary and sports events for the all round development of the students. There are several clubs functioning in the school to enable the students to develop their talents.
The Annual day of the School is organized with great pomp and pageantry. The Annual Excursions to various places of cultural importance and natural beauty are very much looked forward to by the students.
Our students take part in various Inter school competitions and excel in them. The school has a good infrastructure with smart class facilities in every class room. The school can also boast of a well-furnished computer lab.
Our School is blessed with a very active PTA that supports and encourages the various activities of the school. Further, opportunities are provided at regular intervals for interaction between the Teachers and the Parents for good follow up of the students. The cordial relationship that exists between the Management, Staff, Parents and Students is definitely an asset contributing to the successful running of the school.
